Satellite tracking for flying Kiwis:
http://highcloud.net/spot/kiwi.html
My SPOT messenger also sends my GPS position via satellite to this web page, I usually have tracking every 10 minutes while flying and with my spot3 I can send two types of OK messages in the evenings, depending on whether I’m intending to bivouac in the hills.
If I press the HELP button I want assistance, depending on the context (check my position, and try email and phone first), but remember if it’s critical or life threatening I can press the 911 button.
Usually when I’m out safe I’ll make a comment or post on sharemyjoys facebook.
